When using rubber lined equipment, there may be issues such as damage. But once damage occurs, the quality will be greatly reduced. So we need to perform lining repair at this time, and the method of lining repair needs to be determined based on different reasons.
1. Lining Technology
The use environment and other factors directly affect the local damage of rubber lined equipment, which in turn affects the operation of the entire system. However, traditional repair methods have a long cycle and insufficient combination of repair materials, which directly leads to a series of problems such as frequent repeated repairs and local repairs, and instead accelerates the aging and peeling of the rubber lining. But through cold curing technology and high-performance CN semi curing layer, the equipment is easy to maintain.
2. Pad selection
Special attention should be paid during installation. The damage to the rubber lining equipment of the flange is mainly due to the lining being not resistant to the medium or not sealed, and the medium or acidic gas leaking from the outside to the inside, penetrating and corroding the flange substrate. Therefore, this device cannot be used anymore, especially in the southern and coastal areas, and special attention should be paid to the selection of MATS.
Rubber lined equipment has a corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant effect in use, but once damaged, its performance will decrease. Therefore, in order to achieve good results in future use, timely repair of the rubber lining is necessary to ensure its quality and service life.
Spot corrosion on the outer surface of the rubber lining groove is a common phenomenon. The mechanism of pitting corrosion on the outer surface of the rubber lining groove is electrochemical corrosion. A large amount of garden adhesive is used for the external surface insulation of storage tanks, and its function is the same as the insulation layer. After being exposed to rain, the anti rust paint of the storage tank is first rusted and peeled off, and then it locally corrodes the storage tank. This corrosion rate is very fast, and the harm to the storage tank is considerable.

The application of long-term anti-corrosion technology by thermal spraying has been widely applied both inside and outside the environment. The anti-corrosion period can last up to 20 years. It is a method to solve surface corrosion problems. The requirements are also very strict. Firstly, there is sufficient bonding strength between the anti-corrosion layer and the substrate to ensure that the anti-corrosion layer does not fall off and isolate the corrosive medium from the substrate. Secondly, the process adopts the principle of anode protection, allowing the base material to receive long-term protection.
Welding lining repair and spraying process
(1) Clean and sand blast the repair part of the welding rubber lining of the tank body (quartz sand) to eliminate paint, rust, oil stain and oxide,
(2) Shape corrosion pits on the surface of the tank for repair, making it easy to weld (repair welding of corrosion pits greater than 0.5mm deep).
(3) The repair welding adopts a short arc, multi-layer, and multi-pass welding process. The welding rod is dried before use, with a drying temperature of 350-380 ℃ and insulation for 2 hours. After drying, it is placed in an insulation cylinder. Let's go with you. Before welding, apply 200mm to the welding area and its surrounding environment × Preheating within a range of 200mm. Perform mechanical stress relief treatment after welding.
(4) Mechanical grinding of rubber lining repair welding, mechanical grinding to make it flush with the tank body.
(5) Non destructive testing (NDT) is the surface inspection of repair welding to ensure that there are no cracks or other defects at the welding site.
(6) After sandblasting, the entire welding groove is sandblasted as a whole, which not only plays a role in removing paint and rust, but also helps to improve the bonding strength of the coating.
(7) After cleaning, sandblasting and degreasing the oil tank to eliminate the impact of dirt on the coating quality.
(8) The tank body is sprayed using thermal spraying method, and the spraying material is zinc clip alloy, with a coating thickness of 0.2-0.3mm.
(9) Sealing agent is used for sealing the hole.
